General Laborer

Cardinal Staffing is seeking responsible and dedicated production workers to join our team in Livonia, MI. This entry-level position supports the daily operations of a food processing and packaging plant, assisting with meat processing, packaging, cleaning, and general warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the packaging and labeling of meat or food products according to company specifications.
• Load and unload products from production lines or workstations.
• Weigh, sort, and inspect products to ensure quality and consistency.
• Use hand tools and basic equipment under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper waste disposal.
• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and company policies.
• Work in a refrigerated environment (cold temperatures).
• Perform repetitive tasks that include lifting objects, standing, and bending for extended periods.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing duties at the end of each shift.
• Perform other general tasks assigned by supervisors or line leaders.

Requirements:

• No prior experience required. Training is offered!
• Ability to work in cold and fast-paced environments.
• Ability to lift between 40 and 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Good attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions.
• Responsible, punctual, and capable of working well in a team.
• Comply with all food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.

Work Environment:

• Refrigerated meat processing and packaging plant.
• Approximate temperature of 35 F.
• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting objects throughout the shift.
• Exposure to raw meat, cleaning products, and machinery.
